Job title : Import/Export Manager
Job duties :
Primarily responsible for managing export and import operation
• Analyze product delivery and supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes.
• Analyze import & export operations and develop resolutions for problems that may arise and ensure international, customer, and supplier requirements are being met.
• Provide consultation to customers on the importation/exportation of goods thru U.S. Customs, governmental regulations/inspections, changes in regulations, transportation, bonding/insurance requirements, and general industry expertise.
• Liaise between transport companies, negotiating contracts, coordinating deliveries, and enforcing deadlines, implementing onboarding programs, sourcing new carriers, and ensuring compliance with international commercial terms (INCOTERMS).
• Develop, implement, and maintain documentation for all policies, processes, and procedures in the supply chain, logistics, and freight management area to ensure consistent practices and maintain efficiencies and economies of scale; ensure documentation is up-to-date and easy to access.
• Oversee and audit compliance and recordkeeping programs and facilitate timely delivery and accuracy of required paperwork and documentation, classification programs, import/export compliance, supply chain security laws, quotes, transportation contracts, shipment tracking, customs bonds, and customs duty and payments.
• Improve logistics operations, systems, and data; add customs valuation expertise and support for supply chain and import/export cross-functional discussions.
• Perform critical trade compliance audits to ensure compliance with all applicable import/export regulations.
• Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders including commercial operations, procurement, and supply planning prioritizing urgent shipments while ensuring 100% on-time delivery adhering to customs’ routing instructions.
• Evaluate and assess existing business systems and processes with the role to identify, recommend, and implement procedural changes with the goal of minimizing inefficiencies and implementing cost-saving measures.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in international business, logistics, supply chain management, or closely related field. Will accept foreign equivalent degree.
